Inspiration

Whether in the meditation hall, desert, Disneyland or a business meeting, being in the company with Dr. Frederick Lenz (Rama) were the most fantastic moments of my life.  The level of stillness and power emanating from him was truly breathtaking and has set up an aspiration in me to ever strive towards a type of perfection that he embodied.

Towards the end of one seminar I decided to approach Rama (who was still seated in a chair in the front of the meditation hall) and ask a question, which in retrospect was probably ill advised as he needed to get off stage soon.  As I got within ten feet or so of him, I stopped dead in my tracks. There was a feeling of a type of ‘dryness and crispness’ that was literally shocking in its clarity and intensity.  Needless to say, my supposed question was the furthest from my mind at this point.  It must have been somewhat funny to Rama to see me slowly turn around and walk away.  For me this experience was a type of wake-up call to work on overcoming some level of unfounded fear, involved with interfacing with very high and powerful dimensions that Rama was obviously immersed in and trying to express to us. 

To this day, I do not know what really took place in the desert trips with Rama, such as in the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California. In general, it became quite apparent that the world is not anywhere near as solid as it appears.  Also, apparent is our being is much more vast than we normally have thought and involves brilliant strands of luminosity that stretches across many types of dimensions, the physical just being one of them.

Looking back in line at a movie theater showing “Mortal Kombat,” there was a tall, curly haired man, who turned out to be Rama attending the same evening movie.  I eventually got to a seat in the middle of the theater and noticed Rama take a seat close to the front near the screen.  Rama is well known for the bright and energetic ‘special effects’ via the subtle physical, so the enhanced vibrancy and vivid colors of the movie for me where quite a treat.  After the movie, I noticed Rama walking down the aisle towards the exit and he gave me a thumbs up, which was a fun cap off for the evening.

What comes to mind in our Bahamas trip to Paradise Island with Rama was him mentioning the depth of the ‘wealth vibration’ there and how to utilize that in our careers and life.  Being aware of the type of ‘power’ in any particular area can help guide us in creative ways.

What happens in the dream plane can be very revealing in multiple ways.  One night I dreamed that Rama had approached me and then shook my hand for some reason, which was very unusual to have that kind of contact with Rama, whether in a dream or otherwise.  The next day when I was coding away in my cube at work in Manhattan, I felt a lot of energy coming my way and wondered about its source.  Strangely enough, on the train ride back to my home I bumped into a student of Rama’s who was going to a small event that was nearby the next train stop, so I decided to tag along with him to the event even though I had no invitation.  When I got to the small night club I found a chair far in the back away from the stage, where another student of Rama’s, an amazing guitarist Joaquin Lievano, was going to play his new song from the wonderful Ecologie album that was just being released at that time.  It just felt incredible being in that room with all the music and beautiful energy present.  Rama was there also and it was totally surprising that at some point later he did approach me where I was in the back of the room and then shook my hand, which sort of blew my mind and is something I will always remember.

I will be describing more of the amazing things I noticed about Rama when I studied with him as well as the continuing friendship across time and space, so this section will continue to expand.
